Why choose the Larvik?

Silicone Free ▾

The Larvik has rubber seals built into the frame and has a tray with an up-stand and drainage channels that removes the need for silicone inside the cabin. Many steam cabins are essentially glued together with silicone to make them more rigid and to re-enforce poor build quality.

Quality Materials ▾

The Larvik frame is made from a high grade corrosion resistant anodised aluminium. Many showers are built with cheap lacquered aluminum alloys that initially look the same but corrode when the lacquered surface is perforated.

Easy to Clean ▾

The Larvik has no silicone and no clutter inside the cabin making it easy to clean. The doors are quick release and the glass is treated to resist dirt and scale. Many cabins have lots of silicone inside the cabin which will harbour mould and unnecessary features like, foot massagers and other dirt traps that are rarely used and difficult to keep clean.

Leak Protection ▾

The screws that attach the frame of the Larvik to the tray are captive and do not fully perforate the tray. As all the frame sits within an upstand and has built in drainage channels all water must be directed to the drain. The screws that attach the frame to the tray on most other models screw right through the tray creating many more potential places for it to leak.

Easy Plumb Tray ▾

The Larvik tray has a removable front skirt and a large 90mm trap positioned at the front corner for easy access. This makes it easy to level the tray and access the trap if required. To save costs many cabins have a tray with no skirt and a small 50mm trap in the rear corner.

Easy to Maintain ▾

All the main electrical component parts (steam generator, computer etc.) are connected via multi-plugs which makes them much easier to service. These components on most steam showers are hard wired together which makes them much more difficult to maintain.

Easy to Use ▾

The Larvik has a simple one touch operation for the steam function. It is possible to individually set a temperature and time but you can set the temperature to 45 degrees and for the unit to run for 30 minutes just by pressing the steam button. On most models you need to individually set the temperature and time for each session.
